Summer Leaf Bees - (200ct)
Summer Leaf bees Ready to Pollinate!
Boost your garden’s productivity with our gentle summer cavity-nesting bees, which are 100 times more effective at pollination than honey bees. Perfect for melons, cucumbers, beans, sunflowers, strawberries, and virtually all summer-blooming flowers. Our leaf bees can double or triple your fruit and vegetable yields!
Our hardworking bees are gentle and easy to keep in the garden. Summer Leaf bees fly best when daytime temps are 75°F/24°C and above. Easy to raise, just set up their bee house with 6mm diameter nesting materials. Summer Leaf bees use non-fibrous leaves like rose, lilac, or hosta to protect their eggs. Plant peas, beans, or strawberries for flower and leaf sources.
Why Choose Our Summer Leaf Bees?
200+ cocoons per order! We provide more than you’ll need because Summer Leaf bees have a higher dispersal rate than Mason bees. Not all 200 will stay, but that’s just nature!
Incubated for Immediate Release: Leaf bees overwinter as larvae and take about 4 weeks to develop into adults. We’ve incubated them for you, so they’re ready for immediate outdoor placement. Some may take up to 10 days to emerge.
Active for 4-6 Weeks: Like Mason bees, Summer Leaf bees are active for 4-6 weeks. For extended summers, consider two shipments 4 weeks apart for 8-12 weeks of pollination.
Shipping Schedule
For the health of the bees, we ship on Mondays (May - August) to avoid weekend transit delays. Choose your shipping date to align with your garden’s bloom and consistent daytime temps of at least 75°F/24°C. We ship FREE via FedEx 2Day in the US.
